Describe a meaningful family tradition unique to your culture and explain how it mirrors or contrasts with the cultural identity themes of expectations and roles in "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid.

One meaningful tradition that we have in my culture is every 6th of January the whole family has to meet up and have food at the moms house or the one with the biggest house. After these traditional foods are ate we cut a cake but this cake is special for this day its called "rosca de reyes" this bread has a plastic baby inside each family gets a slice. this mirrors the nice moments that you have as a family and that are enjoyed this also has an expectation to always be with your family and to help each other. today I learned that others cultures have stricter expectations than others have .
