Prompt: Write about an experience when someone assumed something about you because of a stereotype. What was the situation, and what did you do?

one time someone assumed something about me would have been that I know how to dance or cook n clean. they had assumed this because as a woman or girl you're automatically supposed to always be helping around and cooking  for others. around this time I only knew how to clean this had hurt my feelings but dancing was something that hurt more. I had seen everyone on the dance floor knowing how to dance and to do certain moves i couldn't. I had gotten asked out to dance and I just stood there telling the guy i didn't know how to and he just looked at me weird and walked away. I felt so embarrassed and just sat down for the whole party.today in class we did a stereotype worksheet naming all the different types of "positive"and  "negative" stereotypes and describe why they are harmful and disrespectful. today I learned that good or bad words are still considered mean and very very harmful
