Reflect on how your cultural heritage shapes your daily expectations, inspired by "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid.

Today we read "Girl" by Jamaica kincaid and it reminded me of my daily expectations in my household it is nature that as a girl your not dirty and that your always helping all around the house weather if its cleaning or taking care of the little kids its a daily battle between following there standards this story is about a mom telling her daughter how to act and not act so she is seen as a good young lady that is respectable this shows this short passage shows that in different cultures girls have to be seen as clean and pure and how this will determine how someone grows up such as knowledge, cooking, and mannerisms.
