You’ve been in Multicultural Literature for about 4.5 weeks. How has the class been going for you so far?

The class has been stressful and overwhelming there is an excess of assignments. I sometimes cannot keep up and i feel like i can easily fall behind and possibly fail .I feel like the ratio of learning and assignments is uneven .I like hands on assignments and/or assignments we fill as we go together. The teacher is nice and understanding very kind other than that i love the class itself and its environment but more lectures would be better i can understand and learn more that way than i would doing assignments a lot. Today in class we did a graphic organizer about childhood events as we read a poem . I learned that there are many childhood events that reflect the person you have become and accomplished as yourself .

Prompt: Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time.

Prompt: Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

Prompt: In letters 6 -10, we see how Celie starts noticing the strength of people around her, like Shug Avery’s independence and confidence. Think about someone in your life who inspires you to be stronger or more confident. What qualities do they have that you admire and try to learn from?
