Prompt: . Blake uses the chimney sweepers to expose how society ignores suffering. Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems?
A time where i thought someone was being treated unfairly would be when i was at work and the managers would make all the bussers do all the work and pick up the slack of all the other, servers, bar, dishes all the bussers had to clean and dry all the silverware, restock linens, water, and glasses after they finished that they had to clean tables and buss them then re-make them for the next customers after they did all that they had to clean and sweep up all the floors. The managers would overwork them then get really mad when the workers would try to leave or deny the amount of work that had to be done they were getting treated unfairly this expresses the labor that is being put out the intense sadness and the way that things have to be the amount of hope that can be put into u the way things just have to be. this poem well states the intense the way society will ignore the suffering. Today in class we read a poem and had an assignment to do that coincided with the poem, Today i learnt that suffering and pain is overlooked by everyone the way society will not care about things unless it is them suffering.
