Prompt: Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

writing about similes and metaphors made me recognize myself in many different types of ways I actually got to notice about the amount of times that things have meant to me or the way that my life is portrayed sometimes these similes and metaphors help me express myself in a way where I can realize what sometimes things felt stronger emotions and stronger words something that could align to the same things and problems that I went through or places and feelings that that I myself felt some words are said stronger and portrayed stronger than others I could say I was sad or I could say I was depressed which both mean the same thing but stronger meanings these similes and metaphors made me realize how I made growth how I was going to really small and became big how I was once uninterested and now I am interested these similes are metaphors also made me realize on the struggles that I have gone through and how they made me realize so I was these struggles are only something that I go through but many people go through these similes are metaphors made me look and seem seen I have never felt seen until how I saw myself and how the things that I went through, these similes and metaphors are something I enjoyed doing it made me realize and it made me grow it also made me understand myself even more. Today in class we did another assignment with the same poem of Maya Angelou but this time we wrote Our Own similes and our own metaphors with our own meanings about our personal and emotional being, today I learned a lot of stuff about myself that I haven't known I learned how to make resemblance to personal problems to something that could be said in just a sentence.
