Someone who influences me into becoming t...

Prompt: Creating a video is more than just placing pictures together—it’s about capturing a feeling. Explain how you tried to bring your assigned letter to life in your Adobe Express video. What mood were you aiming for, and how did your editing choices help you communicate the message or emotion of the letter?

The way I portrayed my video was in particular sadness and pity for celie what she went through in her family and the way that she had been treated this video helps express with videos her pain and how her mother would treat her and would cuss at her, it also portrayed her  stress of being a little kid having to take care of other little  kids and this video well captures her internal emotions to how she would be about her mothers death the death bed video captures the sadness and the way I tried to bring all these feelings and expressions to life was by finding videos that well express the letter and words that underline the main idea of each sentence would be strong words like her stressing about taking care of her siblings "by the time I get the kids ready it be dinner time" well expresses the stress she is feeling and her fear of what might come after she gives birth to her child this is what is making her slower and what is making her unexpressed another way I broug...

Prompt: At the end of Letter 21, Celie and Sofia share a rare moment of laughter that softens the tension between them. Write about a time when you and a sibling or family member shared an unexpected moment of joy after things had been tense or confusing. Explain how that moment helped bring you closer.

A time when me and my siblings were tense with one another was when he were arguing about things that had happened in our home and they had said it wasn't fair that I as the oldest was doing stuff that they couldn't but it wasn't about that and it was bout the things that could happen to them and something that would harm them they had only thought about the negatives and not the positives they thought that I was just showing off and not telling them the full story but then one day I sat them down and told them that they had to wait a little bit longer because then they wouldn't understand they had thought that the reason I would go into my mothers room during Christmas was to take peak at the Christmas presents and to just steal them but then I told them that I was actually in there to talk to Santa and that the little elf's would talk to me about what they wanted and how one day I got turned into an elf and I had to actually help wrap some presents for them and t...

Prompt: Celie tells Harpo to “beat” Sofia because she believes that’s how men control women, but this advice causes pain and conflict. Think about a time when someone gave you advice that sounded right at first but ended up being wrong. How did it affect your situation or relationships? What lesson did you learn about thinking for yourself?

A time I had gotten bad advice would have been when I would ask my friends about my boy problems and they would sit there and tell me what to say to every text and how to treat him and at first it was going pretty well and sounded good but then when things started to go in the down fall areas they had given me a specific advice that I swore to myself was the best thing to not listen to him a to ignore him for days and if he really cared he would come looking for me and be at my knees but it was not like that at all and in it actually worked the whole opposite way and it was something that was harming the both of us in ways we could not speak about because while I was ignoring him I was not paying attention to what he actually wanted to tell me this lead to intense  conflict and arguments that I did not know how to deal with so I had realized that I had ruined my own relationship with my own problems I didn't know how to fix. Today in class we read and did a lesson about how t...

Prompt: Letters 11–16 show how relationships can be full of misunderstanding and pressure. Harpo wants love, but he also wants power. Sofia wants freedom, not control. Reflect on a time when someone’s desire for control hurt a friendship or relationship. What advice would you give to Harpo or Sofia if you could?

I actually have a friend who has too and will always want what he desires and always has to be right no matter what its something that always hurts the friendship and will make things difficult between us we get into arguments a lot he wants to have the power in the way that he has to be in the right by when we speak about our certain  opinions and if someone won or who is a better rank in a game or who is better in particularly anything this brings things down in the friendships and it can be harmful to the both of us because it leads to us bringing each other down and saying a lot of harmful things to one another leading us to not speak for days or hours his thoughts of always being right never lead to anything good one time we got into an r]argument because i told him how i felt about a certain thing and how a certain type of person was viewing him he denied it and said it was not true that i had to stay in my business and how that person would never do that to him but in...

Prompt: In letters 6 -10, we see how Celie starts noticing the strength of people around her, like Shug Avery’s independence and confidence. Think about someone in your life who inspires you to be stronger or more confident. What qualities do they have that you admire and try to learn from?

A person who has qualities that i inspire from are my mother she always has to make sure her kids are good and have things she is very independent and strong  she is someone i have always inspired to be no matter what things have always been good to her never has anything been missing at the table and no matter what we need or ask she will give her qualities are that she is very compassionate ,strong, courageous and will always keep pushing through not many people have these qualities and often give up not long into there journey but shes always pushed though and is always helping others and herself shes a hard worker for what she believes in and what she has to do these qualities make me learn that i have to believe in myself and what others have to say doesn't matter and that maybe what you have in life now is not something that will be there forever i have been inspired too keep pushing forward for what i believe in and what i will one day accomplish thanks to her. Today in clas...

The color purple starts off pretty strong in its aspects of very sensitive topics and a lot of raw emotions and words. this book is very good and strong it reflects a lot of regular occurrence that happen daily to a lot of people that cannot speak up and have to hide it this books topics reflect and encourage others to speak out of there experiences and to not feel so alone it also encourages you to believe that god is listening and you are actually not so alone this topic of religion well expresses the views that even if you don't go to church or don't have the time to put your all into god there will always be a time where you feel like you need to be open and just let all your thoughts out even if it is just yourself and spiritually i feel like this book has a very well expression on others and an amazing impacts of internal strength and emotion to always keep your head up no matter what is going on and what has happened ,you will have too keep your composure. Prompt: Before the Civil War, most people saw nothing wrong with children working long hours. Over time, people began to see it as unfair and even cruel. What is something that society once accepted but now sees as wrong, or something we still accept today that might be viewed as wrong in the future? Explain your reasoning.

Something that would be seen as unfair now would be the type of workers that work in certain places such as gender neutral and rich places they would be considered unfair the people wanting to shop for woman and men clothes at certain stores, the people that worked in them too. these things are now seen as unfair they give people false hope and bad advertisement to certain stores they would find their unfairness and on the way the clothes are made specifically for a certain type of people till this day will be unfair too to see a person who looks like they cant afford it and immediately kick them out of the store because of people looks this type of things are seen as unfair and cruel to others because why would rich people get the advantage to get on top of others just because of the minority others have against another. Today in class we did a common lit and we continued working on the work and assignments that were given on Monday , today in class we learnt that people can have...

Prompt: . Blake uses the chimney sweepers to expose how society ignores suffering. Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems?

A time where i thought someone was being treated unfairly would be when i was at work and the managers would make all the bussers do all the work and pick up the slack of all the other, servers, bar, dishes all the bussers had to clean and dry all the silverware, restock linens, water, and glasses after they finished that they had to clean tables and buss them then re-make them for the next customers after they did all that they had to clean and sweep up all the floors. The managers would overwork them then get really mad when the workers would try to leave or deny the amount of work that had to be done they were getting treated unfairly this expresses the labor that is being put out the intense sadness and the way that things have to be the amount of hope that can be put into u the way things just have to be. this poem well states the intense the way society will ignore the suffering. Today in class we read a poem and had an assignment to do that coincided with the poem, Today i ...
